Karwan Bazar Metrorail Station, Dhaka

Karwan Bazar is one of the busiest areas in Dhaka, the capital of our country. This area is always crowded, bustling, and busy. A few days ago, I got the opportunity to travel to the Karwan Bazar Metrorail Station. The experience of that trip was completely new and enjoyable for me. It was launched in 2022. I left home in the afternoon and reached Kawranbazar Metrorail Station via Motijheel Metrorail Station. I already knew that the Dhaka Metrorail is now playing a crucial role in reducing traffic congestion in the city. So I went to Kawranbazar Station to see it with my own eyes. Before reaching the station, I noticed many people around, some going to work, some just visiting. The Metrorail runs from Motijheel in the capital, Dhaka, to Uttara. Every day, countless people travel by Metrorail to avoid traffic congestion.

Entry Instruction

As soon as I entered the station entrance, I was struck by its modern architecture. Everything was very nicely arranged and clean. The security system was quite strict. When I entered through the gate, my bags were checked, and I had to go through a scanner. This made me feel that a lot of importance was being given to the safety of the passengers. CCTV cameras have controlled the entire station's security. The station has all the modern facilities for the passengers.

Ticket counter

After entering the station, I first went to the ticket counter. There, I bought a card that everyone calls “Rapid Pass”. Using this card, you can easily board the metro rail. The people at the counter explained everything to me very politely, which was very helpful. There are several counters to purchase tickets. Apart from that, tickets can be purchased through online booths.

Then I went up the escalator. Going up, I saw that the platform was quite spacious and beautifully designed. The train schedule was being displayed on digital boards all around. This made it easy for passengers to understand when the train would arrive. Within a short while, the announcement of the train's arrival was heard. The Metrorail station has a huge platform. There is a seating arrangement for passengers at the station. The train arrives at the station every seven minutes. There is a huge clock on the platform.

The train arrived at the station and waited for a minute. I quickly boarded the train. As the train started moving, I looked out the window and enjoyed the view of the city. The whole city looked different because it was elevated. Even though the traffic jams and cars were all down, we were moving very quickly. Another good thing about the Metrorail is its punctuality. The trains come and go at a fixed time, which is very important for a busy city like ours. It saves time, and people can finish their work faster.
