*Lalmonirhat Loco Running Shed*

The name of this place is Lalmonirhat Loco Running Shed. It is one of the most important depots of Bangladesh Railway. Various types of railway engines are maintained here. This depot remains open 24 hours a day and is located in Lalmonirhat, which is why it is named Lalmonirhat Loco Running Shed.


*Inside View of the Loco Shed*

The Lalmonirhat Loco Shed is very clean and well maintained. It is surrounded by greenery and trees, which makes the place look very beautiful. Many intercity trains operate from here, so cleanliness is strictly maintained to prevent waste and protect the environment. The buildings inside the shed are very old and were built during the British period.

*3000 Series Engine*

Before starting a journey, a railway driver carefully checks the engine to ensure everything is working properly. If any problem is found, the staff of Lalmonirhat Loco Shed are informed, and they repair the issue immediately. Drivers perform their duties very responsibly to avoid any accidents on the railway tracks. Proper inspection and maintenance of engines are done to ensure passenger safety.


*Rescue Crane*

This rescue crane, also known as a relief train, is used during railway accidents. If an engine or coach derails or faces mechanical problems, this crane helps recover and repair the damaged parts. It plays a vital role in emergency situations.

The coach shown here is mainly used for rescue operations. It contains various tools, equipment, and first aid supplies that are used during railway accidents. All equipment is regularly maintained so that it can be quickly deployed during emergencies.

For security purposes, CCTV cameras are installed all around the Lalmonirhat Loco Running Shed. Bangladesh Railway’s own security force and railway police are also present to ensure safety. Their main goal is to protect government property and ensure the safety of railway passengers.


*Unused Water Pump*

Previously, this water pump was used to supply water to engines to keep them cool and prevent overheating. Lalmonirhat Loco Running Shed plays a very important role in railway operations. From here, trains operate on various routes such as Dhaka, Parbatipur, Kurigram, and many other parts of the country. The main responsibility of this loco shed is to maintain and repair railway engines efficiently.
