Today I would like to share my experience of visiting Aftabganj Central Jame Mosque, one of the most beautiful mosques I have ever visited. I visited this mosque a few months ago, although I had also been there before. Every time I visit, I become more impressed by its outstanding architecture and peaceful atmosphere.

The mosque is a perfect combination of elegance, modern design, and Islamic architectural beauty. Its impressive exterior, spacious interior, towering minarets, and magnificent golden dome immediately attract visitors. Standing in front of the mosque, the golden dome almost looks as if it is made of real gold because it shines beautifully in the sunlight.

The mosque has four floors and, according to available information, around 5,000 worshippers can offer prayers here at the same time.

Location & Accessibility

The mosque is located in Aftabganj, Nawabganj Upazila, Dinajpur District, approximately 26 kilometers from my hometown.

The transportation system is excellent. Visitors can easily reach the mosque by bus, auto-rickshaw, motorcycle, private car, or microbus.

Those traveling by train can get off at Fulbari Railway Station, where auto-rickshaws are readily available to reach the mosque at a very affordable fare.

Exterior Architecture

The architectural beauty of the mosque can be appreciated from every angle. Whether viewed from the front or the side, every section has been carefully designed with symmetry and attention to detail. The white exterior walls blend beautifully with the golden domes and decorative elements, creating an elegant appearance.

The thing that caught my attention was the mosque's beautiful exterior. The architectural design is modern yet strongly inspired by traditional Islamic styles. We rarely get to see architecture like this in our district. Its unique design and beautiful appearance immediately caught my attention and made the visit even more memorable.

The large golden dome is undoubtedly the main attraction. From a distance, it appears as if it were made of pure gold. The surrounding minarets perfectly complement the dome and give the mosque a majestic appearance. The beauty of this mosque may encourage you to return for another visit.

The interior is just as impressive as the exterior. Inside the mosque, the peaceful atmosphere immediately creates a feeling of calmness. The prayer hall allows a large number of worshippers to pray comfortably without feeling crowded. Natural light enters through the beautifully designed windows, making the interior bright while maintaining a peaceful environment.

The window designs were one of the most attractive features of the mosque. Whether viewed from the outside or from inside the prayer hall, they looked equally beautiful and complemented the mosque's elegant architecture perfectly. The windows are beautifully designed with Arabic-inspired decorative patterns.

I also noticed that almost every part of the prayer hall contains decorative Islamic patterns and Arabic calligraphy. These artistic details make the interior even more attractive while reminding visitors of the rich heritage of Islamic architecture.

My Experience

Exploring the mosque was a wonderful experience.

I spent quite a while admiring both the exterior and interior architecture. Every floor could reveal something new, from elegant corridors to beautiful prayer halls and artistic decorations. I visited only one floor.

The peaceful environment made the visit even more enjoyable. Looking up at the towering minarets from the balcony created an unforgettable moment, while the golden dome looked even more magnificent from different angles.

Visiting this mosque with my family was truly a pleasure. Alhamdulillah, I am grateful for this memorable visit and the opportunity to experience its beauty together.
