Here are my little story at Ichiban Sushi.
Few days before ,when the flood happened in Aceh, my family and I went shopping at Suzuya Mall in Lhokseumawe. After buying some household needs, we noticed a new place next to ROTI O. My wife was curious about the menu there.
Looking the Menu
Before we went inside, we first looked at the menu displayed outside the restaurant. Since we had never eaten there before, we weren’t sure how to order. Then a staff came and said kindly,
“If you want to dine in, please come inside. The menu outside is only for takeaway orders.”
So we walked in and took a seat. The menu on the table looked interesting and colorful. My wife started choosing what she wanted to try, while I just nodded and agreed with everything she picked.
To be honest, I prefer eating Mie Aceh on the street. The taste is just “wow” for me! But my wife really wanted to try this new restaurant, so to make her happy and remove her curiosity, we decided to stop by at Ichiban Sushi.

The place was nice, clean, and looked really cool. My wife wanted to taste ramen noodles and something like dim sum (I actually didn’t know the name before). For me, it was okay, whatever she ordered, I would enjoy it. Spending time with family is the most important thing.

We decided to order ramen noodles and Sushi chicken balls (dimsum-style snacks). Hehe… I called it “street-style dimsum” because I don’t really know the real name before.
For the drinks, we kept it simple: a bottle of mineral water and a glass of iced lemon tea. While waiting for the food, we looked around and enjoyed the fresh and nice atmosphere inside the restaurant.

Even though I usually love eating mie Aceh on the roadside with the strong and spicy taste, this time I just wanted to enjoy the moment with my family and let my wife know her curiosity about the menu.

At the Cashier
When the bill show, we were a bit shocked.
There were extra charges like tax and service fees and even the service fee had to be paid by the customers.
Maybe this is the first and the last time we come here.
