A Simple Place with Restaurant-Class Taste: Dinner at Nasi Uduk 77 Selat Malaka

Last night, my wife and I decided to spend our dinner time at Nasi Uduk 77 Selat Malaka, Cunda, Lhokseumawe. We were not looking for a modern restaurant or a luxurious dining experience. Sometimes, the best moments come from the simplest places, and this restaurant proved exactly that.

Located on the terrace in front of Jaya Abadi Materials Store, along the busy Medan–Banda Aceh road in Cunda, Lhokseumawe, Nasi Uduk 77 may look simple from the outside. Interestingly, the restaurant is managed by the wife of the owner of the building materials store. Despite its modest appearance, the place offers a warm, relaxed, and welcoming atmosphere. It is the perfect spot for families, friends, and food lovers to enjoy delicious meals at affordable prices while watching the daily activities along one of the city's busiest roads.

As we looked at the menu, we found many interesting choices. The restaurant offers Nasi Uduk with Ayam Penyet, Bebek Goreng, Nila, Lele, Kakap, and even Cumi-cumi or Udang. There are also additional side dishes such as tempe, tahu, kangkung, kol goreng, and various refreshing drinks.

For dinner, we ordered our favorite menu and patiently waited for the food to arrive. The delicious aroma immediately made us even more excited. The nasi uduk was fragrant, soft, and perfectly cooked. The side dishes were well-seasoned, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. Every bite was rich in flavor and surprisingly satisfying.

What impressed me the most was the quality of the taste. Although the place is simple, the food quality feels like something you would expect from a restaurant. The seasoning was balanced, the portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh. It is clear that the food is prepared with care and attention.
