Last Friday, April 3rd, I drove from Lhokseumawe to Banda Aceh to take my child back to the pesantren. We chose the smooth and fast Jalan Tol Sigli–Banda Aceh (Sibanceh) to save time. The trip was comfortable at first, but I already knew that my car tires were quite old and close to their limit.

In the middle of the toll road, something unexpected happened. One of the tires suddenly started to peel and tear. It was a worrying moment because we were far from the city. I immediately pulled over to the side of the road to check the condition. The outer layer of the tire had peeled off badly. With a small knife, I carefully cut the loose rubber part so it would not disturb the wheel while moving.
After that, I continued the journey very slowly and carefully toward Banda Aceh. Safety was my only focus. I did not want to take any risk, especially with my family in the car.
As soon as I arrived in Banda Aceh, I went straight to Arena Ban, known as the biggest and most complete tire workshop in the city. This workshop is well known for its wide collection of tires, rims, and professional service. Seeing the condition of my tires, the mechanic suggested that it was indeed the right time to replace all of them because they were already expired and unsafe for long-distance travel.
The workshop was very complete. Inside, I could see many types of rims and stacks of new tires ready to install. The mechanics worked quickly, carefully, and professionally. Their service was excellent, and they explained everything clearly to me.
After replacing all four tires, they continued with wheel alignment (spooring) to make sure the car was perfectly balanced again. The whole process was smooth and well handled.

As a closing note, I learned an important lesson from this experience: before traveling long distances, always make sure your vehicle is in excellent condition. Tires, alignment, and small technical details are often overlooked, yet they play a crucial role in comfort and safety on the road
A little attention at the beginning can prevent bigger problems during the trip.

What started as a stressful moment on the toll road turned into a relief after receiving such good service. Now, the car feels much more comfortable and safe to drive. A valuable lesson for me: never ignore the condition of your tires, especially before a long trip.
