Al Muhajirin Mosque, A Peaceful Stop Near the Sibanceh Toll Road

Assalamu’alaikum my dear friends…
Today I would like to share a short story about our stop at Masjid Al-Muhajirin. On our way to take my child back to the pesantren in Aceh Besar, we used the Sibanceh toll road. We did not stop at the rest area along the toll road, so after we exited the toll gate, we decided to find a mosque nearby to pray and take a short rest. That was when we arrived at Masjid Al-Muhajirin.
From the outside, the mosque looks simple but beautiful. The building is painted in soft blue and white colors, giving a calm and peaceful feeling. The front area has a roofed terrace supported by white pillars, which makes the design look neat and elegant. The parking area is not very large, but it is enough for several cars and motorcycles. The environment feels safe and comfortable.

Inside view

The mosque is very clean. The yard is well maintained, and the wudhu area is clean and organized. Water flows well, and everything is arranged properly, which makes it comfortable for jamaah to prepare for prayer.
Inside the mosque, the atmosphere is peaceful and comfortable. The green carpets are clean and neat. The mihrab has a simple but elegant design with soft patterns and golden accents. The wooden mimbar adds a classic touch to the interior. The ceiling design is unique and makes the room look more spacious. The air conditioners make the inside cool and fresh, so praying feels calm and focused.

Outer Area

Al-Muhajirin Mosque is not too big. However, the mosque committee has made a smart solution. They built an outer area with a canopy roof to accommodate more jamaah, especially during Friday prayer and Eid prayer. This outdoor covered space is very helpful when the number of worshippers increases. Even though the main building is modest in size, the additional space makes the mosque more functional and ready for big gatherings.

Overall, Masjid Al-Muhajirin may not be very large, but it is clean, well managed, and comfortable. It is a perfect place to stop, pray, and refresh our heart during a long journey.

For travelers who pass through the Sibanceh toll road and do not have time to stop at the rest area, Masjid Al-Muhajirin can be a good place to stop. You can perform your prayer, take a short rest, and refresh your body and mind before continuing your journey.
