The place is right beside the Medan – Banda Aceh main road, so it’s very easy to find. Many travelers stop here to relax before continuing their trip.
We took the seat and got the menu.

We were hungry after the long drive, so we ordered:
Seafood fried rice with egg (because fried rice is always a hero)
Boiled egg noddles (warm soup for the rainy weather)
And of course, the star of the cafe:
BMW – Egg Coffee with young betel nut
Green tea and etc

Boh manok weng
When it arrived, I took a sip…Wow.
It was rich, soft, and surprisingly energizing.
A perfect drink for a tired traveler.
What is BMW?
BMW here doesn’t mean the famous car brand
It stands for Boh Manok Weng, which is Aceh’s signature egg coffee, known for boosting stamina.
It is made from:
Fresh brewed coffee, Egg yolk, Sugar or milk Served with young betel nut slices.
It tastes creamy, sweet, and has a strong aftertaste. A real energy booster for travelers!

The outdoor seats were still wet from the rain, so we stayed inside.

The kids ate with full appetite maybe the journey made them extra hungry. We talked, laughed, and forgot for a moment that we still had a long road ahead. It felt like a tiny break that our body and mind really needed.

Barista Corner
There is also a beautiful barista counter, and I noticed the milk cans are arranged in a creative pyramid shape, looks cool and aesthetic!

Conclusion :
BMW Kupi has a very large dining area, spacious enough to accommodate many visitors. It offers: Parking area, Indoor and outdoor seating, Nice hanging lights and a clean design, Good air circulation, Great place for family or group hangout, Indoor seating with lights and wide space, Outdoor seating freshly cleaned after the rain, clean toilet and place for doing Prayer.

Before starting the car again, I looked back at the cafe. The lights, the people, the warm atmosphere… I really liked it.
BMW Kupi is not just a place to eat .It’s a rest stop for souls traveling the night.
Would I come again? InsyaAllah, yes.
With that small boost of energy from Boh Manok Weng, we continued our journey home , feeling refreshed and grateful.
