Old Baker-Sigli

Assalamualaikum my stemian friends, In this post, I would like to share my experience visiting a small bakery in Sigli while I was traveling. When passing the main road, just before the tugu melinjo landmark, I noticed a bakery with a bright yellow color. The bakery is located right on the Medan–Banda Aceh roadside, making it very easy to find for travelers. Even though it is a simple bakery, it gave me a pleasant experience that I think is worth sharing.

This bakery is said to be owned by Teuku Wisnu, a well-known Indonesian artist who is also from Aceh. At first, I actually did not plan to stop here. I just wanted to continue the trip. However, my son Ubay asked me to buy some bread, so we decided to stop for a while. That simple request turned into a nice and unexpected break during our journey.

The bakery looks clean and attractive from the outside. The yellow color makes it stand out among other buildings. Inside, the place feels simple, tidy, and comfortable. It is not too big, but it is well organized and suitable for a quick stop to buy bread or snacks.

One thing I really liked about this bakery is the service. The staff were friendly and quick. They welcomed us politely and served our order without making us wait too long. This is very important, especially for travelers who just want to rest for a moment and continue their journey.

We ordered three breads: two chocolate breads and one pandan bread. The total price was Rp 24,000, which is quite cheap. The bread was soft and suitable as a light snack while traveling.

An interesting and unique part of this bakery is that we received one coupon for a free Umrah luck after our purchase. This was a pleasant surprise and made the experience more memorable. It is not something you find in every bakery.

We ordered the bread for take away because we did not stay too long. After finishing our order, as usual, I took some photos. I took pictures of the bakery, the menu posters, and the product display. I also took a quick selfie with the poster of Teuku Wisnu inside the shop. Of course, it was only a poster, but it was still fun and added a memorable moment to our short visit.

In conclusion, this bakery is a good place for a short stop during a trip. The location is easy to access on the Medan–Banda Aceh road, the service is friendly and fast, and the bread is affordable. Even though the shop is simple, it offers a pleasant experience for travelers. I would recommend this bakery to anyone who passes through Sigli and wants to buy fresh bread for take away.

After that, we continued our journey and left Sigli with a light snack in hand and a pleasant memory from a simple bakery stop.
