Baitussalam Mosque
On Monday night, January 4th, 2026, I was on my way back to Lhokseumawe from Banda Aceh. It should have been a normal trip, but the journey became very tiring because of heavy traffic at the Bailey Bridge in Kutablang. We were stuck there for almost two and a half hours. The long wait made us feel exhausted, both physically and mentally.

After finally passing the traffic jam, we decided to stop at a mosque to rest and perform our prayers. We stopped at Masjid Baitussalam Cot Tupah, located in Gandapura District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh. At that moment, stopping at this mosque felt like the right decision.

One thing that impressed me was the cleanliness of the mosque. The prayer area was neat, clean, and well maintained. The ablution (wudhu) area was very clean, with enough water and proper facilities, making it comfortable to use. Cleanliness like this truly adds to the sense of peace when preparing for prayer.

Because of the long delay on the road and the late time, we performed Maghrib prayer combined with Isha (jamak qashar). From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere of the mosque felt calm and peaceful. The mosque looked beautiful at night, with bright and well-arranged lighting that highlighted its clean white walls and elegant design. The environment felt quiet and comforting, perfect for travelers who need a short break after a long journey.

Baitussalam Mosque is not only a place of worship, but also a place of rest and reflection for travelers. After a stressful journey, praying in this mosque helped us feel calmer and more refreshed. It reminded us that sometimes, a short stop in a peaceful place can restore our energy and spirit.

The parking area was spacious and felt safe, which is very important, especially for travelers stopping at night. We did not feel worried leaving our vehicle while praying. The mosque is also easy to access from the main road, making it a convenient stop for people traveling between Banda Aceh and Lhokseumawe.
