Lampisang Teungoh Rest Area
Last weekend,I was on my way back to Lhokseumawe, I chose to travel through the Banda Aceh–Sigli toll road. It was a smooth and comfortable drive. The road was quiet, the view was wide, and the journey felt calm. While driving, I noticed a rest area on the side of the toll road. From a distance, I could clearly see a beautiful mosque and a traditional Acehnese house (Rumoh Aceh) standing proudly.
At first, I only planned to stop briefly to use the restroom. But curiosity made me slow down and finally stop. I thought, “Why not take a closer look?” Sometimes, unplanned stops give us the best stories.
Rest Area Mosque
When I arrived, the first thing that caught my attention was the mosque. The building looks clean, bright, and peaceful. Its white walls combined with green domes create a calm and Islamic atmosphere. The mosque stands gracefully in the open area, surrounded by fresh air and a wide sky. Even before entering, I already felt relaxed. It is not only a place to pray, but also a place to rest the heart after a long drive.

I walked around the mosque and took some photos. The design is modern but still shows Islamic character. The surrounding area is spacious, making it comfortable for travelers who want to pray, rest, or just sit quietly for a moment. This kind of mosque on a toll road is very important. It reminds travelers to pause, pray, and continue their journey with a peaceful mind.
Rumoh Aceh
Not far from the mosque, there is a Rumoh Aceh, a traditional Acehnese stilt house. This building is truly beautiful. The wooden structure, high pillars, and classic design show the strong cultural identity of Aceh. Seeing a traditional house like this beside a modern toll road feels special. It is like a meeting point between the past and the present.

The Rumoh Aceh in the rest area is not only decoration. It represents Acehnese culture and history. Travelers from outside Aceh can learn and feel the local identity just by seeing this house. I really appreciate this idea. Development does not always mean leaving tradition behind. Here, both walk together.

Another interesting thing I noticed at this rest area is a Telkomsel outlet, located right beside the restroom. This small outlet is very helpful for travelers. Visitors can check their signal, top up data packages, or ask for simple information related to Telkomsel services. For people who travel long distances, having a stable internet connection is very important. The presence of this outlet shows that the rest area is well-prepared to support modern travelers, not only physically but also digitally.
Parking Area
Overall, this rest area is clean, well-organized, wide parking area and comfortable. It is suitable for families, solo travelers, and anyone who needs a short break. For me, this stop became a pleasant experience, not just a quick rest.

In conclusion, the rest area on the Indrapuri–Sigli toll road in Lampisang Teungoh, Seulimeum, Aceh Besar is not an ordinary stop. It offers beauty, culture, and peace. If you ever pass this road, take a moment to stop. Sometimes, the best part of a journey begins when we pause.
