Visiting Great Mosque Peusangan matang gleumpang dua, The best view

Good evening everyone. After a few busy days without posting, today I’d like to share a simple yet meaningful moment from my recent journey. Last week, after visiting a friend in Bireuen who was facing a difficult situation, I continued my trip with mixed feelings. On the way back, I decided to stop for a while, to rest, reflect, and find a little peace.

While driving along the Medan–Banda Aceh road, I saw a magnificent mosque standing tall from a distance. Its two towering minarets and large dark dome immediately caught my attention. This is the Grand Mosque of Peusangan, located in Matang Glumpang Dua.

Even though the mosque is still under construction, its beauty is already very clear. From the outside, the building looks grand and elegant. The white structure combined with the dark dome creates a strong and peaceful visual contrast. It feels modern, yet still holds a traditional Islamic touch.

Inside, the mosque still needs a lot of attention and support from all of us. Some parts are not yet finished, and you can clearly see that the construction is still ongoing. This reminds us that places like this are built not only by time, but also by the care and contribution of the community.

As I got closer, I could see more details of the architecture. The tall pillars, the wide open entrance, and the symmetry of the design make this mosque look very impressive. It is not just big, it is beautiful in a meaningful way.

Standing there, I felt a sense of calm. After a day filled with emotional moments, this place gave me space to breathe and reflect. The cloudy sky above made the atmosphere even more peaceful and a little dramatic, adding to the beauty of the moment.

I also took some photos, and honestly, the mosque looks even more stunning through the camera. It has a strong character, simple, yet powerful.

On the outer walls, there are sketches and design plans of the mosque that show what it will look like once completed. There is also information about the construction progress, along with bank account details for anyone who would like to contribute through donations or charity.

Beside the main building, there is also a wudhu (ablution) area, which is currently being renovated to improve its facilities.

This mosque is more than just a place for prayer. It represents hope, faith, and togetherness. I believe once it is fully completed, it will become one of the most iconic mosques in the area.

Sometimes, in the middle of a long journey, we don’t just need to keep moving—we need to pause. Places like this remind us to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters.
