Debit the Good Deals and Credit the Bad Ones
Hi to everyone to the members.
Today I want to share a small thought that slowly changed the way I look at my daily life. It’s funny how we usually connect accounting only with money, banks, or business… but in reality, our life also works like an account. Every day we are either adding value or creating hidden losses.
I started thinking of my habits like entries in a personal balance sheet.
The good habits — waking up a bit earlier, going for a short walk, helping someone without expecting anything, learning a new skill — these are like debiting good deals into my life account. At first, the profit is invisible. Nothing dramatic happens in a day or two. But after weeks or months, the return becomes real. More energy, clearer thinking, and honestly… a little more self-respect.
On the other side, there are the bad habits. Endless scrolling at night, delaying work, getting angry over small things, comparing myself with others online — these are like crediting the bad ones. They feel comfortable in the moment. You tell yourself “just five minutes more,” but those five minutes quietly turn into hours, and hours into a routine. The loss doesn’t come loudly; it comes silently.
I remember a time when I used to sleep very late because of my phone. Every morning I felt tired, irritated, and unproductive. I blamed everything — weather, workload, even luck — except my own habit. One day I simply decided to change one small thing: I put my phone away 30 minutes earlier than usual. That tiny decision didn’t feel powerful at all, but after a month I realized I was waking up fresher and my whole day felt lighter. That was my first real “good debit.”
Another example is walking. I’m not a gym person honestly. Heavy workouts never stayed consistent for me. But a simple 20-minute walk in the evening became my practical solution. No pressure, no fancy gear, just walking. That small act improved my mood more than I expected. Sometimes the smallest deposits bring the biggest emotional interest.
Life is truly a balance sheet.
Every day we are making entries, whether we realize it or not. One positive action added, one negative action reduced — this simple formula can slowly change the final yearly “profit” of our life.
Big achievements are attractive, but they are rare.
Daily micro-decisions are boring, but they are powerful.
So I try to remind myself of one simple principle:
Debit the good deals… and stop crediting the bad ones.
You don’t need a dramatic transformation. Just one small improvement today is enough. After some months, when you look back, you’ll notice that your “life account” is healthier — not because of one big win, but because of many small smart entries made quietly over time.

Congratulations!
