A display of our Rich Masquerade during the festive seasons

Beloved steemians, good to be here to share with everyone about our masquerade display. The Christmas and new year period was such a memorable event heralding the display of our various masquerades in different shapes, color, sizes or heights.

Between the 24 December 2025 to the 5th of January 2026, a lot of masquerade paraded in different parts of my city. I was able to capture few of the masquerade that I came across and will be sharing each of them once every week.

Like the previous years when masquerades parades in different parts the city, the 2025/2026 masquerade display is one of the best displays we have had so far. The streets within the city were filled up with people as the masquerades match along. The adults and the younger men were seen dancing to the drums as beaten by the drummers.

Having taken a look at different sizes of the masquerade that performed, I observed that those masquerades were from different villages and towns. So each of the masquerades that paraded , represented the towns making up the city.

We really enjoyed seeing the masquerades and their dancing steps with their brooms in their hands to scare people away so that they can freely move.
