Simple & Delicious Winter Iftar with Alu Moongry
Today we enjoyed a simple but very delicious iftar with alu moongry, a famous winter vegetable in Punjab. In the afternoon, my mother started preparing the meal with great care. First, she cut the moongry into small pieces and then sliced the potatoes in a specific shape. After that, she washed both vegetables properly to make sure they were clean and fresh.
She added spices, salt, and a little oil, and slowly cooked them until they became soft and full of flavor. The delicious smell filled our home and made us feel hungry and excited for iftar time. When the adhan was called, we sat together and enjoyed the tasty alu moongry with hot, soft chapati (wheat roti) and cool raita.
The combination was simple but very satisfying. I also clicked some beautiful pictures to save these lovely family moments and shared them with you.
