I went to the beer festival in Mechelen, Belgium (Beer #3 - Triporteur Bling Bling Imperial King)
Hello Steemers,
Here I am again with a post about the third beer I drank at the beer festival in Mechelen, Belgium. It was the last beer I drank before we started looking for some dinner. No worries, I came back after dinner to drink some more beers.
The map with all the different breweries and their booths:
Be sure to check out my previous posts about the festival, I explained my experience at the festival in the first post and the first beer I drank at the festival. The second posts is about the second beer I drank at the festival, enjoin!

Triporteur Bling Bling Imperial King is a blond, gold-yellow colored, sweet, fruity and bitter tasting beer. It's brewed by the BOM brewery in Bree, Belgium. This is a rather special beer, it is made from real 24-carat gold malt, I never drank a beer made from gold before, to be honest, I don't think gold has a flavour because I sure did not taste it. It has an alchohol content of 8,88% they did not choose this number because it looked cool, in China the number 888 is a lucky number, it means triple luck.
At first, before I tasted it, I thought the special aspects to the beer were done to mask a beer that was lacking flavour. This was not the case, it was one of the better beers I had at the festival. I sure will try the other beers the brewery has to offer, in the near future.
Good one! Exploring festivals and breweries is my favourite pass time too!
Same, I had such an amazing time!
Surely the gold is just a gimmick and does nothing for beer....
Correct, didn't taste any special flavour that I hadn't tasted before.
So Cool.....Love Mechelen
Het Anker brews awesome beer.
