A life without Christ and A life in Christ according to Ephesians 2:1-3 and Ephesians 1:3-4
A life without Christ Ephesians 2:1-3
"And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others."
A life in Christ Ephesians 1:3-4
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will."
I present to you as a sketch a simple way to explain the great difference between what we were without Christ and what we came to be in Christ Jesus:
A life without Christ
- He is dead in his transgressions and sins.
- Live in the desires of the flesh.
- Does the will of the flesh.
- He is a son of disobedience, a child of wrath.
A life in Christ
- Has eternal life
- He is holy and without blemish before Him.
- Live under the pure affection of his will.
- He is a child of God through Jesus Christ.
