@lovejuice- My bidbot meant to help smaller community members get a head start.

in #bidbot7 years ago (edited)

Ok, so I have a voting bot. It's a bidbot. It's using the DrOtto build made by @inertia, which is the same program that runs @booster, @bellyrub, and @discordia. Some people have concerns over these bots and things like @randowhale, but I think they are a neat addition to the community. If you're just upvoting your own shit posts or comments it's lame, if you're upvoting your own posts that's mediocre, but if you're using it on other people then it can have some really awesome effects.

How do bidbots work

Bid bots have SP on them and you can purchase votes from them. You send some sbd with a transfer note of the post you want to upvote. Every so often the bot will vote based on the bids. If there's only one bid then that person gets all of that vote. If there is more than one bidder it's split.

Sample Split

Jimmy bids 1 SBD
Sarah bids 2 SBD
John bids 7 SBD

Jimmy will get 10% of the total outgoing vote.
Sarah will get 20% of the outgoing vote.
John will get 70% of the outgoing vote.

High bids

Lovejuice has 12k Sp and votes roughly every hour or so. The max upvote is around a 60% upvote. It's worth around 1.2-1.6 SBDs. I haven't checked exactly so I'm not positive. In terms of bidding you don't want to bid more than 1.2-1.6 SBDs because you'll get no return. If other people have already bid over 1SBD worth you may want to wait for the next round of bidding.

Minimum bids

@lovejuice has a 0.1SBD minimum bid. So for 0.1 sbds you basically have a chance at up to 1.2-1.6 SBDs. If you're timing is good it's a pretty sweet deal.

it's not a whale

One of the things about this is that the bidbot is specifically not a whale. You won't win 40 sbds on a full vote, but you're also not spending a ton. I also don't feel like it's draining or raping the pool. I don't think any of these bots are. It's giving access to larger votes to smaller accounts and a fun way to get a head start. If you do think those bigger bots are bad though I hope you can tolerate a much smaller one as a way to help newbies get off the ground or to make friends for short monies.

moar love, moar juice

So, earlier today I made a post on the account letting folks know @lovejuice got an upgrade. Here's hoping you choose to use lovejuice. Oh, and btw, if you want to catch the resteem from me or lovejuice you better use the bot on someone else.

write up a review and ping me

I'm happy to share some good stories with the people if you can spare some time to talk about lovejuice.

Donkey Love Making Bots.

This comment has received a sweet gift of Dank Amps in the flavor of 15.70 % upvote from @lovejuice thanks to: @krishatnet. Vote for Aggroed!

Did you not read the article above where @aggroed points out the lameness of upvoting your own comments using the bot???

I think you posted under the lovejuices reply ;)

That was the lamest thing you could do, to abuse lovejuice in this post and to upvote yourself. It is just a smack in the face of aggroed, lovejuice and all the PAL community. You should be ashamed of yourself.

New Followers get 0.001 SBD$ and an upvote for free!!

Just follow @steemvote and...

  • we follow back
  • send you 0.001 SBD to your wallet
  • upvote your newest posting

There's no proof that you're hurting me. I could die.

So melodramatic

I'll buy you anything, I'll buy you any ring.

Nice Power Symbol icon .... @Discordia
I'm going to change mine when my upvote reaches more than one cent..

okay. if 10 person transfers 1 sbd to lovejuice bot then each of them will get 10%? which is--

that means all of them have lost 79 cent and you get 10 sbd. is this bot helping minnows or lives for it's own sake?
because it has only 12,xxx,xxx power you need other rules for start my advice would be that. the rules you choose works best for booster or minnowbooster which has almost 486,xxx,xxx and 250,xxx,xxx steempower. i think would be better if bot upvotes from 100% and drains power to 80% and stops and refills again and if you map between those numbers relative to received money maybe something workout.

Its maximum upvote is $1.2-$1.6 so you should avoid bidding more than $0.60 to avoid a loss. A lot of people just bid $0.1 so if you bid $0.6 and 5 people bid $0.10 you'll get more than half the output and it's worth it. Last I used it it voted every 36 minutes so check the wallet and steemd.com and you can see how many people bid since it last voted. Then, bid appropriately to try to get a good chunk of the payout.

Yeah, I'm pretty clear in this not to bid more than 1 sbd total per vote.

@aggroed I am looking forward to trying your new bot on my next posts. Keep it up!

nice is bot is possible for us or we add in this bot @aggroed

A very interesting idea. For us beginners in @steemit not so understand about everything. Hopefully this is a reference for us. thank you Mr @aggroed. good job....

Hey @aggroed, in my opinion it's a good thing to have such bidbots, although it's my opinion and I am entitled to have one. Right?
I think this can help minnows of the platform in a big way. I, as a matter of fact being one, have seen that a holding hand of a big fish has helped me on some of my posts. Whereas, there are some of my posts which went totally under the radar, without yielding anything, even after all my efforts. These bots are a win win for everyone involved. Thanks for presenting us with yet another option. ✌️
