Binance reduces the number of confirmations for deposits in Bitcoin and Ethereum networks

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance on Tuesday announced a decrease in the number of confirmations required for crediting of funds to users' accounts in the networks of two leading cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin deposits will now require one confirmation instead of two, and Ethereum and ERC20 tokens have been set to 12 instead of 30.

Thus, Binance users will now have to spend less time waiting for their deposits to be credited to the stock exchange.

"Faster", commented today's announcement with one word CEO Binance Chungpen Zhao.

Last week it became known about Binance's plan to launch Bitcoin futures contracts with a leverage of up to x20.

Binance Research's analysts also recently reported a correlation of cryptocurrency prices in the first half of 2019, where they noted an increase in the deviation of Bitcoin from other assets in this market.

Also today, Binance announced that it will maintain a 25% discount for users who use BNB tokens when paying commissions for making transactions on the platform for at least another year. In accordance with the conditions described in white paper, it was assumed that the discount would be reduced to 12.5% in the third year of the platform existence.
