Paper wallets are one of the safest ways you can store your bitcoins, the other ones being hardware wallet(more on my upcoming posts)

A paper wallet is simply put a piece of paper where your public and private keys are printed so that you can access your coins anytime you feel like. Paper wallets are disconnected from the internet. I'm going to list down how you can make your own paper wallet and keep your bitcoins safe.

  1. Go to Bitaddress.org
  2. Create a new bitcoin address (This will be your wallet address)
  3. You will be presented with your public and private keys and their respective QR codes. Do not scan this.
  4. Click the Generate button. This will create new wallets for you.
  5. Select print. Save it as a PDF file.
  6. Take your bitcoin app and start depositing funds from the public address given in the wallet.
  7. Store the paper safely, preferably in a locker.

NOTE: DO NOT GIVE AWAY YOUR PRIVATE KEYS TO A THIRD-PARTY.

After depositing your funds, relax and HODL through the dip. More on HODL here
