Sorry to break the news, but there is no currency in crypto ;))
At least back then you had no $40+ transaction fee for the payment, that you got now.
I´m still waiting for the day, when everyone wakes up and laughs at the idea we once had, that we could use cryptos as currencies and even named them like this^^
So you don' think crypto can be a solution for payment?
Well, I wished it was, but as it is at the moment, I see no crypto that has the potential to become a currency anytime in the near future. I see Crypto as an investment in startups or as an internal utility token like here on Steemit
Yeah maybe now at this moment they cant be one as they are at their rapid growth phase, but they will be one somehow in the future. As that is the purpose of everything in cryptocurrency.
True, but for that, they will need to be less volatile and when people won´t make so much money with it, they lose their interest. So there will be also a danger in this.
