The first images of Samsung's cryptocurrency wallet appear on Twitter
Some photos of the new Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphone have recently appeared on Twitter , in which the "Samsung Blockchain Keystore" application is also shown.
These images were published by Benjamin Geskin, who became famous among Apple fans for having leaked the first photos of the iPhone X Plus on the net. However, in the "Supported cryptocurrencies" section of the supposed Samsung wallet it is currently possible to select only Ethereum ( ETH ).
It is probable, if it were a software really in development, that before the arrival in the shops the company implements also other coins.
The device in question is now widely publicized by the company: in fact last week in Paris, billboards appeared with black text on a white background, in view of the launch event scheduled for 20 February.
In December of last year, Samsung however denied rumors that the company intended to offer a cold wallet within Galaxy S10. Nevertheless, in the same month the company had registered in the United Kingdom a trademark for a cryptocurrency portfolio.
A few weeks later, Ricardo J. Méndez, Technical Director of Samsung NEXT, explained that the concept of decentralization is more important than blockchain technology:
"The blockchain is just one tool, which can help in the context of decentralization, but an instrument is still less important than the goal."
