Head of Sky Mining disappeared, with it disappeared $35 million
From the accounts of a Vietnamese mining company Sky Mining lost $35 million. According to local portal VNExpress, the funds could kidnap the CEO of the company, Le Minh There, who disappeared about a week ago.
Before his disappearance, he wrote on Facebook That the profitability of his business fell along with the prices of cryptocurrencies and asked investors for forgiveness "for everything". He also invited them to the company's office in Ho Chi Minh city to allegedly return the invested funds and officially declare bankruptcy.
However, investors arrived found that the office is closed, and 600 devices for mining crypto-currencies were taken out in an unknown direction.
Sky Mining Deputy Chairman Le Ming Hyun suggests that There could have escaped to the US. He also said that the company has formed a Council to help affected investors and assess the damage caused.
Information about the incident was also transferred to the local police.
