Bitcoin for my Baby

in #bitcoin9 years ago (edited)

One week ago, my wife and I welcomed into the world our little angel.

I thought I would give my little girl a financial head start in cryptocurrency. So, tonight I prepared a paper wallet for her and loaded it with some bitcoin. I plan to give her the private key when she is old enough to appreciate it and use it wisely. Who knows what its value will be by then?

What do people think of the idea? Have you done something similar for your kids? Does anyone have ideas for teaching kids financial literacy? Please let me know in the comments.

Well done and congrats! That's worked out well so far :)

Love it. My btc is earmarked to be divided between my 3 youngsters, perhaps when the youngest is 21, so 19 years from now.
Also, welcome aboard, Zoe :)

I like it! Odds are it will be worth more than fiat dollars at that point.

Congratulations and love the post.

I don't have an idea since I'm not a father, yet... LOL. Thanks for sharing this great post, @brendio!
I've just started following you. You are more than welcomed to check out mine as well ;)
