This was surely coming. It happens in every industry. The pioneers are never the later giants. The ones that grab ideas from the pioneers and make them better are the ones that become giants. Examples of this are Google and Airbnb. I just hope Bitcoin acts fast, they are still in time.

Luckily there are new bitcoin pioneers everyday. Being open source allows it to adapt, but that can also create negative issues. However I don't think bitcoin will ever go the way of myspace. It will remain a premier cryptocurrency for quite some time in my opinion.
