London, Bitcoin Private and Wirex were amazing!
We were invited by Bitcoin Private to speak at their event. It was an honor for me to be invited and these thingsmakes us realize that what we are doing for the crypto community is really appreciated. So what is Bitcoin Private ?
Bitcoin Private uses the same privacy technology as ZClassic (zk-snarks). This means payments are published on a public blockchain, but the sender, recipient and other transactional metadata remain unidentifiable. Bitcoin Private's entire codebase is publicly available for viewing and verification by anyone. It will always remain open source and be maintained by an ever growing community. Just like Bitcoin, Bitcoin Private supports peer-to-peer transactions without an intermediary. These transactions are verified by network nodes through the use of cryptography and recorded in a public ledger. In the nature of transparency and open source, Bitcoin Private is developed by team members all over the world. Each member fills roles and contributes based on his or her skill sets. There was no premine, and there is no founder's reward. Bitcoin Private has been released in a fair manner to all. Coins were distributed on a 1:1 basis to BTC and ZCL holders.
That was the technological part you can find everywhere on the internet but when I arrived in London I was amazed by the way the conference was set up by and through community members with a little help of some sponsors. If I remember it correct the sponsors where Cryptopulse and boatman admin services. Both sponsors gave an presentation as well. Cryptopulse is UK nr. 1 Crypto & Blockchain Podcast and I loved their presentation. Great guys and don’t forget to subscribe to their podcast. Also, John Boatman did a really nice presentation about Bitcoin combining it with his financial background. So after they did their Job I needed to do my job as well and it all went fine. We had some drinks and snacks after with some other team members and I can only conclude that the BTCP community is really cool and they welcomed us with open arms. There is so much knowledge in their community and it’s really cool to talk about their future plans with those tech guys. I am not that technical but I understand the message and what is will mean for crypto in general.
Because we were in London we decided to do some sightseeing with the kids as well. The longest said after the presentation “ can we finally go shopping” ? Yes if you are in London with 3 girls and a wife there is no way you can skip the shopping part. So I promised them that if we first went to look at some London history we would go shopping. We visited Buckingham palace, London Bridge etc with the hop on/off bus and afterwards we got the time to test our wirex card at the primarkt, Victoria's secret and some more shops. If you reach the shopping centre you see those eyes sparkling of the kids, hahahah. Ye,s we live a minimalistic lifestyle but also we enjoy shopping now and then. We just don’t shop for so much money anymore as we used to and keep it to things we really need.
We love wirex and we were invited to their main office in London where I had a chat with theCEO Pavel, the management and a few employees. After having seen their office and speaking to the ceo I have some more respect for what they are doing for the crypto community. They are creating the bridge between crypto and fiat and that is something we really need at the moment. We are still all in in crypto but we are not able to pay with crypto everywhere on the world. That is exactly where Wirex steps in for us because we can stay all-in crypto till the very last moment of spending. It takes us 5 seconds to transfer a amount of crypto into euro and pay with the visa backed Wirex card. Just as you will se in the video.
On the last day, we decided to do something good for the poor and homeless people so we walked the streets to donate food and drinks to them. Ye,s we will be sharing our profits in crypto with people that need it, foundations and crypto education and in our opinion, the crypto community should share a bit more of the profits in crypto with people that need it. Ofcourse you can buy a Lambo if you want and we hope many people do but while buying it try to negotiate a bit more and the 5k discount you get, spend that at a charity on the blockchain or something.
We really loved London but it was a bit cold for us so we quickly flew back to Italy where we visited Rovereto aka bitcoin valley. Thanks for reading and if you like our post please share it with your friends.
haha... of course the kids want lip gloss and Victoria's Secret. Great vid as always.
