Bitcoin Futures - Thoughts on Outcome?

Bitcoin futures make me worry about possible price manipulation from "whales" who will sell large amount of BTC, get their futures, buy and drive market up, and repeat. Any thoughts on how this will be regulated or is the market going to be subjected to even larger swings now? Bitcoin Futures Article
