Governments will surely use force and theft (taxation) to try and come out ahead... but the people will have 1000's of choices in cryptoland to always be 2 steps ahead of the gov't... Tough Call.
The government does very little for the citizens, we are their cash cow and they exist by tax extortion. All govt's are just a numbered corporation and their bond value is traded on exchanges just like our soical security number or sin number is given a value and traded on exchanges. The difference is that gov't's value is based on how much tax revenues they can extort form citizens, our value is based on earning and credit score. They derive their value because they can create the laws and enforce tax payment... without that ability, they are worth less. Of course, gov'ts are the worst run corporations in the world, when was the last time they were able to run a balanced budget and get out of debt, even with all the tax they take in they can't turn a profit. Private sector corporations are better managed and operate in a free market.

Crypto Currencies have had a great year, we are starting a whole new ear of decentralized control... they central banks and government won't like it and will try to fight it, but there is a Force here that is going to change the balance of power.
I have been focused on the cannabis sector for the last 4 years and writing about it, now I am taking a serious look at Crytpos and Blockchain, looking to incorporate it on the Cannabis Internet.
I feel like as cryptocurrency gain more and more awareness , it will be bad from the goernwmnets side . It gives them the reason to take more back on taxes and other ways from the general public . I mean awareness is good but not by bunch of greedy people
It will just make govern-cement and banking so costly in comparison, that they will either adapt, or fade into oblivion.
Further, the number one thing about block-chain is transparency. And so, we will be taking govern-cement and turning it over, exposing all of its corruption.

Hi @vinmaru, It would not be any easier for governments to go ahead of crypto currencies. A recent example is that of China's ban of BTC. Who lost?

Yup, if they come after Bitcoin, just move to another token or platform. Gov'ts are slow moving, a person with a will and way can stay 2 steps ahead.
