Could China roll back its Bitcoin Ban? Possibly...

in #bitcoin2 years ago

China is now seeking comment from people regarding it's heavy handed bitcoin mining ban...

In a move that should stun no one, China is possibly considering rolling back their ban on bitcoin mining.

They are now seeking comment from impacted individuals as well as just about anyone else their thoughts on the move...

It probably didn't hurt that everyone was saying how good of a move and opportunity this was the for the United States...

I'm sure China didn't like hearing that at all...

While I would not be surprised if they reverse the ban eventually, it won't be coming any time soon in my opinion...

China is about top down...about control...about centralization...its not that other nations don't have this characteristic...but China is much more prominent in this area...so there is very low probability China would ever adopt a system that is bottom up or decentralized.

Agreed... though if they see others benefiting from it, they may reverse course. If nothing else the mining industry could have been beneficial to their goals...

I agree, probably won't come soon. Hopefully the citizens of China find loop holes around participating in the crypto surge through VPNs, entities filed in Hong Kong....etc. Leave no world citizen behind! To the Moon!

Exactly. There are a lot of people and a lot of money that wants to get involved with crypto, hopefully they find a way.
