Bailiff in Sweden auctions Bitcoin. 0.59865078 BTC Sold for almost 1,5x its worth
The bailiff (Kronofogden) in sweden has had an auction selling Bitcoin.
They had got the coins in connection with a survey and now the slightly odd auction has ended.
The winning bid was SEK 43,000 ($5 270)
which may seem a bit strange when the digital currency auctioned, had a total value of approximately SEK 29,000 ($3 560).
Ludvig Öberg, business developer at Chromaway and co-founder of the bitcoin exchange, Safello, commented on the sale of DI Digital:
"It's a bit strange. I have two theories. One is that it is made for the publicity that could be given as the first buyer of bitcoin from Kronofogden. My second theory is that there may be someone who wants to guarantee 'white' bitcoins. is then better than buying from the state? "
In total, it was 0.59865078 Bitcoin and 0.59865078 Bitcoin cash (BCC) that the Kronofogden auctioned. 1 bitcoin is currently worth about 46,200 Swedish kronor and 1 bitcoin cash is worth approximately SEK 2700.
