Who Really Created Bitcoin?
Let’s take a moment to go over the most popular bitcoin conspiracy theories.. If a government did want to know exactly how much money everyone has and where they keep it and when they spend it, creating something like bitcoin could do just that. Here are a few different conspiracy theories about Bitcoin’s origin..
- The NSA
This might be the most popular theory.. Supposedly bitcoin was created by the NSA as an internal project, which they codenamed “Satoshi Nakamoto”. If they created Bitcoin, it’s believed they would have a back door key to the SHA-256 algorithm. Scary, if true.
- Chinese Government
China has long been a big adopter of blockchain and bitcoin (disregarding the recent china fud). It’s believe Chinese developers created bitcoin for two reasons. First, to relieve its reliance on the US dollar. Second, same as the nsa, to track all transactions by its users.
- AI Created Bitcoin
Despite the fact that Artificial Intelligence technology wasn’t very far along at bitcoin’s inception, some people believe an anonymous group or government created an AI to develop a perfect cryptocurrency based on mathematics. Who created the AI? Nobody knows.
- A Random Dude Named Satoshi
The last and most popular rumor... Bitcoin was created by a random developer who was a freaking genius, is now the richest person on earth, and is somewhere chilling on a private island. Or dead. Nobody knows.
