Welcome to the 105th Bitshares State of the Network (BSotN) report. A weekly report focusing on the changes in the ecosystem and track longer term changes in a effort to identify emerging trends and changes in the Bitshares platform.

Bitshares - State of the Network - 16th October 2018

The Bitshares State of the Network Reports seeks to combine raw data from a wide range of metrics and combine them into meaningful information to identify emerging trends and changes in the Bitshares network.

Observation from this week

This section will highlight any observations made while analysing the data.

• Bittrex has advised that on the 5th of November 2018, they are retiring their Bitshares (BTS)wallet. BTS has not been trading on Bittrex over the last year but looking at Cryptofresh shows that Bittrex still holds 14 Million BTS.. If you have BTS on Bittrex withdraw them before 5th November. - source

• The team at OpenLedger have presented a new project for the BitShares community, BitShareScan; a BitShares blockchain explorer. BitShareScan provides you with information about transactions, users, and assets of the BitShares blockchain. The dynamic search options let you conveniently get the data about transactions, accounts, and tokens, monitor the latest activities, and blockchain changes. More information HERE

• azex.io is about to support bitCNY as base currency on the exchange, following cointiger thinkbit and rightbtc. Besides, bitCNY can also be purchased from aex-global.com and zb.com, through bitCNY/CNC and bitCNY/QC trading pair. More information HERE

• George Harrap has published an article on adding margin trading and lending to Bitshares DEX and is looking for feedback. More information HERE

• Maxine Ryan (COO and Co-founder of Spark) has done an interview with LAB Radio talking about her career, Spark, SparkDEX, Sendy and Bitshares. Great interview available HERE

• The Beyond Bitcoin Bitshares weekly hangouts have now moved to the Discord platform. You can join the Bitshares Discord HERE and also catch the latest hangouts streamed live on YouTube HERE

• Current registered wallets/accounts within the Bitshares network is 1101899; an increase of 4459 wallets/accounts since last week
