This is ALOT of information. I read it but being a new user and new to cryptocurrency I must admit that I'm having a hard time understanding everything. What do you recommend as a good starting point for someone in my position?

I have a good resource for anyone in your position coming out in a couple of weeks that will help fill in the background history of Bitshares.

To get an introduction i would highly recommend a really good videos series by Chronos Crypto
