As a long time bitcoin user and a resident of Latrobe Valley in Gippsland, Victoria I was excited to hear that locals will have the opportunity to participate in trading renewable energy via a blockchain. The Latrobe Valley Microgrid 

is a great use of blockchain technology which is currently at feasibility study stage.
