Major banking groups Santander and BBVA have joined the International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications, set to launch in the first quarter of 2019.
This initiative was created by the European Blockchain Partnership, a collective of 27 E.U. countries including UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Netherlands and Sweden.
The purpose of the initiative is to establish a blockchain infrastructure for Europe that will help facilitate cross border public services with high security and privacy.
