There are some interfaces on STEEM that work better for a particular kind of content -- if you're post is mostly about sharing and annotating a single link source, using https://dlike.io would be better for discoverability.

There are also other content\purpose specific interfaces like https://steemhunt.com and https://musing.io -- check 'em out and good luck with STEEM!
