Russia to develop it's first centralized only free tradeable crypto "Russian Bitcoin"

Herman Gref , CEO of Russian bank Sberbank has recently joined a crypto forum held at St. Peters burg. There he gave a statement to the media that his bank will soon develop a completely freely tradeable centralized crypto currency. He also gave a name to the coin "Russian Bitcoin".

Thank you for sharing this cool piece of news with us. There is something strange about it though in my opinion. The main reason that I got into crypto was because of its decentralized nature and the protection that it offers. And now here is this bank which is going to create a centralized version. I don't quite know how to reconcile with that. Curious to see what will happen next
It certainly would help mass adoption. The flip side could be it outlaws decentralized options in favor of the centralized one. And in the next round it would make every transaction visible to the central government. Which would be real bad.
