It was a show stopper!
Last night I got invited to watch Mowtown The Musical in Santa Barbara, California at The Granada Theatre. The play was the story of Berry Gordy Jr, the history of Motown and the stars behind the music. There were a total of 28 actors who all gave an excellent proformance. The Stars of the show were Berry Gordy, played by Kenneth Mosley, Diana Ross, played by Trenyce, and Smokey Robinson, played by Justin Reynolds. The ensemble included actors who played artist such as The Supremes, The Temptations, and Stevie Wonder just to name a few. Throughout the play, actors sang and danced to fifty eight of Motown's hit records. The story showed the ups and downs of the the music industry for African American Stars in the 1960's and the strength they had to overcome their battles. They shared bit of the personal life of Berry Gordy and Diana Ross. I personally loved the entire play! I had a lot of fun singing along. The actors even got the audience in the crowd to sing with them. I felt like I had time traveled back to the 60's. Motown The Musical was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend to anyone who loves the music to watch the play. Thanks for reading friends!
