RE: My Thoughts on Ywriter

in #blog8 years ago

I’m really excited about this. Thank you for the awesome write-up, @jasminearch. I agree that little bits of time here and there, waiting in a line or for an appointment to begin, can be be really valuable for writers who are pressed for time. I currently use Google docs, which I can access from any device. But there is no organizational component like you’ve described for Ywriter. I wonder if a) there is a version of the app for iOS, and will look for that, and b) if there’s a way to connect it to google docs instead of dropbox. I will investigate and report back!

I’ve been a confirmed short story writer for a very long time, but lately I find myself toying with the idea of embarking on a novel. So the timing of your post is amazing.

I'm glad I could be of help. Ywriter has not got an IOS app, currently, but I do believe Scrivener does. Ywriter allows the phone app to run from Google docs but I couldn't figure out how to sync the PC app to Google docs. That's why I ended up going with Dropbox.

Best of luck, and let me know how you get on!
