My account was activated yesterday. It is a free account, I was unsure if creating a blog was a good idea so I decided to sign up for a free account which gave me 5 days to decide. After reading about "bot accounts" I now am thinking that free accounts should not be allowed.
No one will really mind paying a small one-time fee and it would certainly improve the quality of the content on Steemit.
After posting my first blog I gained about 80 followers within minutes. Pretty sure those are not real people. I'm not sure why someone would add fake accounts to my account like that. Even when my account was first created it already had 4 followers. That seems odd to me.
It’s really hard for me to say, I encourage you to stay and work through the obstacles but I am not a witness and don’t have a say in how this should work, I simply do my best at rolling with the changes the best I can. I do wish you the best in whatever you decide to do
