howdy today lturner! oh I see, wow...well then that would be so much fun! That would be a little slice of heaven right there. So this is going to be a yearly trip for sure right?

Well, Sukkot is a yearly event for sure - whether we can be on the Homestead depends on if we make the registration in time and whether we can physically make it out there. Last year we didn't try to make registration because I was going to be 36 weeks pregnant with Daniel and didn't think I could physically do the trip and the camp work well.

It was fun! Zac opens up registration in the summer (if they do it again this year) and has some stipulations on registering. He has limited space and the registration goes FAST. He's hoping to provide a place where families can gather to celebrate Sukkot without having to pay the big fees often needed to join other Sukkot celebrations.

howdy again lturner! oh so this is just a little private event, or at least more so than the other larger Sukkot celebrations? I didn't know any of these were being held at all so this is very interesting!

It's a little more private than some of the large ones like Seasons of our Joy - though larger than some of the little family Sukkots that are going on all over.

Zac was estimated around 10,000 Torah keepers in his general area because he knew of (I think) 5 different groups meeting.

It's pretty fascinating!

howdy there lturner! oh that is very fascinating! So the 10,000 figure if just for Arkansas or do you think that means they came from all over like you guys did?

I'm not sure if the 10,000 included all locals or not, but there were very few people present from as far away as we came. Most people were local or at least within a few hours. So while the 10,000 might be clustered more tightly than usual, I suspect a majority of those are going to be local. There are a lot of Torah keepers moving to the Ozarks right now for some reason.

oh that's interesting, the moving is great news for the Ozarks, the area will prosper because of that! thanks for the explanation.
