The Great Wall of China - An incredible construction with more than 2000 years old.

This incredible construction is more than 21,000 kilometers (13,048 miles) long, but unfortunately now only about 1,700 kilometers retain their original appearance, as the years have deteriorated or destroyed much of this magnificent work.

The wall was built in different stages, being the first during the Quin dynasty (221 BC) and the last during the Ming dynasty (1368 - 1644) and its main function was to protect the northern Chinese border at that time.

Along the wall you can see the watchtowers and barracks that were used by Chinese soldiers to protect the empire in antiquity.

Currently this construction is one of the best known in the world and is one of the most visited tourist sites in all of China, it is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
