International Court of The Hague against Monsanto For "Crime against Humanity" in May 2016

in #blog7 years ago

Given the legal impossibility of bringing Monsanto before the International Criminal Court in The Hague for its crimes against humanity or for the crime of ecocide, which is still not recognized by international law, we are proposing to organize our own tribunal. The American company Monsanto is the world leader in the biotechnology market, but it is also the most controversial company of the industrial age. Controls 90% of genetically modified seeds: varieties of soy, canola and corn, have been patented by Monsanto. It seems that, sooner or later, this firm will control the entire food chain. Monsanto's commercial interest is not limited to genetically modified organisms. Monsanto is also one of the biggest polluters in the industry. Since 1935, this company is, to a large extent, responsible for the worldwide spread of PCBs. He has earned colossal sums with "Agent Orange" and other products containing dioxin. Over the past 80 years, Monsanto has been accused of the following crimes: Hundreds of thousands of people have become sick or even dead, after being poisoned with Monsanto products Hundreds of thousands of cultivators have been ruined In Vietnam, babies with malformations due to the "Agent Orange" used during the war in Vietnam are still born. Thousands of American veterans still suffer the consequences of their contact with this herbicide Millions of hectares of land and water sources have been contaminated in North and South America, as a result of Roundup aerial fumigations. For more than a century, Monsanto has managed to maintain its devastating activities thanks to the powerful lobbying carried out before the financial authorities and regulatory agencies, the ministries of agriculture and health, universities and scientific research centers, as well as in the highest level government. In her book and film: "The World according to Monsanto", Marie-Monique Robin showed how this influence is exercised in particular in North and South America, but also in other continents. In Europe, Monsanto continues its lobbying, to impose crops of genetically modified plants. If the Free Trade Agreement between Europe and the United States and Canada (TTIP) were signed, the interests of the company would be obeyed, as confirmed by the balance on the North American-North American Free Trade Agreement (ALENA) in North America. , which came into force in 1994. There are hundreds of examples in the world that show the antidemocratic attitude of Monsanto, which does not back down before anything to impose its law: recently the company has put pressure, with success, so that a development of 300 million dollars, is approved by the United States to Salvador, on the condition that the country requires the farmers to replace the local seeds of corn, for Monsanto's genetically modified seeds. We must do everything in our power to stop Monsanto's designs in Europe and elsewhere. Before the legal impossibility of bringing Monsanto to the International Criminal Court in The Hague for its crimes against humanity or for the crime of ecocídio, which is not yet recognized by international law, we are proposing to organize our own court. We are proposing to form an alliance of judges, officials, politicians related to the subject, directly affected individuals, interested organizations, journalists, members of the European Parliament, scientists and farmers, who have been confronted by Monsanto since the last 80 years. The device for this international operation could be the following: A global mobilization through social networks that could allow gathering the evidence that would be submitted to the court. The establishment of commissions relative to the affected countries or according to the types of products sold by the company The different groups would meet for a week, in The Hague, to discuss the crimes that Monsanto has committed. The last two days would be devoted to presenting the accusations gathered before a Court (to choose) which would issue a final verdict accompanied by a "European sanction" Through the mobilization of a vast media presence, this trial would spread widely in Europe and would surely have an impact on other continents! First of all, we would like to know who could participate in the preparation of the tribunal, as a member of the Support Committee. You would be willing to support the procedure for launching this international tribunal and figuring in the list of the first signatories. We remain at your disposal for any additional information.
