Branding and Schools

The benefits of studying in one of the largest chain of schools in India is that everyone knows what it is. I am from DPS and today I found this DPS printed notebook. A smile came on my face the moment I saw it. It reminded me of my school times.

We had everything from the button of our shirts to the school bags available with DPS branding and obviously we didn’t used to buy everything as they charge way to extra for the name of DPS. We used to find it amusing that how crazy their marketing strategy is. I remember one of my friend once said that if the school has given the power to tattoo our bodies, they will tattoo “DPS” on our bodies to make their students stand apart from others.

We also used to enjoy this as I have seen many of the schools that do not have their monograms on their sweaters. I find it odd when I see the students wearing school blazers and sweaters without the name of the school. The students represent the school and the school should put its name on atleast one of the things on the dress for other people to recognise it. I am glad I studied in DPS and I would recommend my other friends from India to choose DPS rather than any local famous school because “the name” works when you go out of your city and DPS has the name.
