New Nokia phone launched in Chennai

Chennai: “People want something that belongs to the hand and something that will go the distance. Nokia 5 is the ultimate pocketable phone at 5.2 inches,” said the HMD Global, GM of South and West, T S Sridhar in Chennai on Thursday at the launch of the new Nokia phone.

HMD Global, the current manufacturer of Nokia phones launched their new model in partnership with Poorvika mobile retailer. Pre-bookings also started following the launch.

“Nokia 5 is a sleek and compact Android smartphone. The mobile has been precision engineered out of a single block of 6000 series aluminium to create a perfect pillowed body that flows seamlessly into the laminated 5.2 inch IPS HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 mobile platform, it delivers excellent battery life, improved graphics performance. With the latest Android 7.1.1, the phone delivers a pure Android experience, giving you the ability to use your phone, your way,” Sridhar added.

The phone will be available at a price of Rs 12,899 starting 15 August, 2017 and also announced that Nokia 6 will be launched on 23 August for a price tag of Rs 14,899.
