August 16 — A Clue, and Another Story

Yesterday I showed you a drawing and asked you to guess what was happening.

Today, I'm giving you a clue. 😉

The people in yesterday's picture are not strangers.

Here they are again — the same family, but in another story.

And suddenly, perhaps, yesterday's picture looks a little different.

Who are they?

Where do they live?

And what exactly are those strange heads rising above the grass?

Are they really looking at dinosaurs?

Or are we looking at something else entirely?

I won't tell you yet.

That's the fun of it.

Every drawing has a story behind it. Sometimes I know the whole story before I start drawing. Sometimes the picture comes first, and the story has to catch up.

And sometimes...

I think the characters know more than I do. 😄

So here's your clue.

Look carefully at both pictures.

What do you think is happening in yesterday's scene?

Tomorrow, maybe we'll open another little piece of this world.
