Change that comes
There is the change that comes and there is the change you make when the change that comes comes.
Surely it'll come, there is no universal operation without change. You can think of logic, information and mathematical laws, yes they're constant, but the things we see with our eyes or an instrument will have some sort of change.
Our lives are lived in change. Our growth, our relationships, our work, and you should allow this one too, our goals.
Some people realize that change is coming and what do they do? They shut down, put up resistance because they see it as bad all the time.
They defend their current state, fight for what they know and call it wisdom. Please don't call it wisdom, call it fear, perhaps, but with better marketing.
You keep that comfort zone, change will happen regardless. The problem is you won't prepare for it because you're stuck in the comfort zone bubble.
The ones who recognized that early learned how to stop fighting and start asking new questions. Not how do I prevent this but what do I do with this? It is what it is and it has happened.
That shift of your mentality makes all the difference.
Please understand me, I'm not trying to be some strict inspirational writer for anyone and saying get off your ass and do what must be done when you're afraid to get up. That fear is completely natural during change. Nobody expects you to pretend that it isn't there so don't. But using fear as a response is futile. You cannot create anything of value from a defensive stance of your old and quite frankly opinions that don't work anymore. At best, you have delayed the inevitable.
Innovation happens from pressure and there's a common saying, necessity is the mother of invention. Necessity can come with pressure and you have no choice than to adapt or fall. The greatest innovations, the groundbreaking concepts, they almost always came from people who were desperate enough to find another way. Necessity drives innovation not just as a catchy slogan but as a fundamental truth. Desperation provides clarity.
It's sad to think of it, that most people will never reach that stage since they require certainty before making a move. There will be no certainty, none was promised to you before you came to join those that were already here. I may be a young lady, but I know we're on planet Earth, here unless you're lucky enough to receive from someone else a thing of blessing, you're going to get what you only work and fight for.
If you don't adjust to change, it'll come and you'll be caught flat-footed.
