No company can render excellent service to its market audience without satisfying the needs of its employees.



Not only just workers have to make their contributions to the company, the company also has its foremost duty to trigger the growth of their employees. The beliefs that mold great organizations or corporations have frequently prompted their working individuals to grow out of their character, strengthen their conviction, and broaden their experiences. It's a "win-win" situation for both subjects.


Choosing the Right People

Handling a corporation means working with tens, hundreds, or even thousands of people who helps in meeting its goals. Proper assessment of their skills and abilities , as well as their flexibility in adapting to the working environment should be carried out because the right people must be put in the right jobs. This eventually leads to producing efficient products which meets the expectations of the customers.

Altruism, or selflessness, is the principle or practice of concern for the welfare of others.

Naturally, the key factor in the preservation of good human relations is the individual manager. The manager must know how to work with his people, how to help them, and how to train them. For example, if a salesman is having a difficutly, the manager should constantly communicate with him to help him improve.

Another consideration in human relations that has meant a great deal is the continual opportunity for advancement. No matter how great is the urge to hire newcomers, the company must always prioritize what they have already, that is, their employees. This is an essential factor in maintaining morale.



Job Enlagement

One technique in keeping morale high is job enlargement. People running a nearly automatic machine tool all day making hundreds of the same item may have very little feeling of personal accomplishment. The company can counter this problem by allowing them to perform their own set-up work when they change from one operation to another. Also, setting up a system of job rotation for boring jobs may break monotomy. This helps a person to keep his sense of dignity, accomplishment, and involvement.

Sharp contrast between the blue- and white-collar people in a business is to be avoided. Company benefits must be equal for all employees with a given amount of service, regardless of rank or position. Insurance, vacation programs, medical care, and other benefits must be the same for all. Some of these practices may cause inefficiencies along the way, yet, they hugely contribute to the morale of an hourly-rated man.



Respect for Every Individual

Some people who start out in modest circumstances get to have that idea and a certain contempt for an average man, even when he gets promoted. Others, by the time they become leaders, have built up a unique respect and understanding for the average man and empathy for his problems and past experiences. This attitude forms the basis for many of their decisions, most especially involving people.

The challenges in a large organization are great and inevitable. Achievements, indeed, is the successful response to challenge. Men who have accomplished great deeds in large organizations might have done less if they had been challenged with less, and they would have realized less of their potential and their individuality. Every corporation needs its people, the same way as how people gives importance to its work.
