NEOLIBERALISM IS THE ENEMY OF IMPOSING TAXES ON EMPLOYERS

Hi friends steemians, in the governments of the fourth republic, the argument used to not increase taxes on entrepreneurs was that if they were allowed to have high profits, they would direct them to investment to increase the size of their firms, thus increasing productivity and benefiting the entire population with the generation of jobs and wealth. It was the famous drip thesis.

But that did not work or work, since most of the Venezuelan businessman, if he can be given that name, does not reinvest the profits in his companies, as entrepreneurs do in most of the world, but they turn them into dollars to take them out of the country.

I would not be surprised if the current economic team supports the same thesis of the past.

To understand where this idea comes from, we must remember that the current imperialist system is based on the domination of the economy of the neocolonial countries by the large transnationals, one of the objectives of this system of domination being to take the minimum possible tax on the profits of the companies in order to send those of the local branches of the transnationals to their country of origin, to the detriment of the neo colony. And as a royalty, the local sectors adááteres of that domination also benefit from the almost absence of taxes, with which tie their support and dependence.

That behavior of the national business was clearly revealed when the president of an industrialists' union expressed in statements to the media regarding the government's new exchange policy, that this was incorrect since the businessmen had an IMMENSE AMOUNT OF BOLIVARS that they wanted to protect changing them in foreign currencies and that the system that was implemented was not enough to cover that demand, and that the government, if it really wanted a system of free convertibility, should offer the dollars derived from the oil rent.
