I am donating what ever i make today to help this person
I was up doing my morning routine today before work and i ran across this young man @iamchijamz trying to raise just over $84 SBD so his classmates can stay in school. He is going to donate everything he has ( $7.6 SBD ) which struck me as being a very selfless person to give everything he had to help freinds, so I am pledging what ever i make here today to help out. All of my other money is tied up in steem power or delegated. It won't be a lot to me but it might keep one of his friends in school. Here is his post. Lets do some good folks. Everyone wants a better world, this is how we do it and this is the power of steem. Sorry to make a begging for money post but I feel for these kids. So the last thing i do tonight before going to bed is send him what ever today brings, I hope i have something good coming in.
I scaned through his post and it does not appear he is a scammer, he has participated in a couple steem meetups in his country since starting earlier this year. I hope we can round up what you need. You are on the other side of the world so hopefully my little gift arrives in time to make your day better when you wake up tomorrow.
This is really great that you are doing this. I understand thinking it sounds like "begging for money" but it's really not. There ARE charities everywhere, but that's what I like about steemit- it allows people to help others simply with a vote. You don't need to drain your own resources to help someone else out (even if your vote isn't worth very much yet). I think steemit has a lot of potential for helping to help people out, and it already has in a lot of ways. I recently made a post similar to this to raise funds/awareness for an animal shelter where we got our dogs from. The lady who ran it just passed away, and now the kids are left trying to keep the shelter open and pay for her funeral. It's a super sad situation. And I felt I am sure like you did making this post, like people are going to think you are begging for money or just trying to scam people, or "look good" or whatever. But that's not the point, the point is to help people who need it. I am not rich on steemit (yet lol), but when I see something that has value or someone I can potentially help with my vote, I vote. I will say, my post at 5 days old I think? is only at a little over $1. Don't get discouraged. Even if it doesn't catch on immediately it will, and if the post doesn't make a lot of money, at least you've your part to help someone in a way that is feasible for you to do. I have resteemed this.

i just checked steem.supply and it looks like i have about 2 steem dollars coming in today so i will send it his way tonight. I know it is not much but it is a start. I feel for these folks in other countrys that are trying to better themselves. One day i will be a whale and can help out more. thank you for the kind words and the resteem. It is much appreciated.
That is really thoughtful of you to do, it is a start. I feel for those in other countries too, and hopefully steemit gives them a way to better themselves! I have seen a lot of people from all over the world using steemit to better their communities. That's how I feel, when I am a whale I can help more people out. 💖

Thank you sir. I just hope i can help him out a little. I find this to personally be time better spent rather than flag wars and general bickering on social media. These kids are trying to better themselves and I respect that.

I have faith in steemit and i am waiting on AAPICS also. I hope betweeen those 2 i can get some real work done. I have much to learn but I am relentless so I believe we can make a real juggernaut if we can make our accounts grow with curation and team work. The more newbies we help without dragging them over the coals like other so called " minnow support" then i believe they will appreciate it and join in to the cause. Gotta have faith.
What is AAPICS? I agree with you completely. That’s why it’s important to meet like-minded individuals on here. They are the ones that will make your journey on here positive and support you. To be honest, I’m still here because of the individuals I’ve met in our initiative. Some of the best hearts on here. Let me find some time to write a post on the school and I will be happy to donate any earnings there too. The problem is that I never find time to write but I’ll try to help. It may not make much but it will add up.
OMG . I get to teach something. I am super stoked now. https://appics.com/ is a new platform much like steemit only it is more like instagram. I believe that it is either ned or dan that is a cofounder . It is built on the steem platform and is going to be using the smart media tokens. Pre sale is next Wednsday and it will be Etherium friendly and use their wallet . Instead of the ussual 75/ 25 payout it will be 65 author, 25 curation, 10 to apppics to pay for the operating costs and steem rental from my understanding. go check out their site, you will probably understand it much better than me. they also have a bounty program for linking with your facebook, twitter, and such to get free crypto. It is being said that it will be like being able to get in on the ground floor like when steemit was starting back in 2016. check it out and let me know what you think.
Ok, I will look into it. I did hear rumors about Dan wanting to start something similar to steemit, but on the EOS blockchain instead of steem. I don't think that sounds like appics. Will look into it...but why are they different than steepshots...or whatever it is called here that is like instagram?

I will never find time to write. I am one week behind with replies. I think I write one post every 2 weeks on here. @beeyou is a team account, my posts are the girly stuff and #newbieresteemday related. All the macho contest or more interesting stuff are my guy teammates.
My small donation will have to do for now for the school funding..but I did see he got some more votes on the post. That should help out and I hope more caring whales on here lend a hand.
